The capital of Queensland, Brisbane (also known as Brissie or BrisVegas), is a must visit destination. We have lived here for most of our lives and love it.

Located in the South East corner of Queensland with a large international airport, it’s easy to get here and to use Brisbane as a springboard to visit the rest of Australia.

The greater Brisbane area has a population of over 2.6 million people and you definitely won’t lack for things to do!

There is a great range of attractions and things to do in Brisbane from seeing Australian native animals at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, visiting Mount Coot-tha Lookout for stunning city views, and exploring South Bank Parklands the home of Australia’s only inner-city beach. Being a very multi-cultural city, Brisbane has a wide range of foods to try.

Brisbane is also a great location to base yourself when exploring other parts of South East Queensland such as the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Moreton Island and Stradbroke Island.
